Tachota Kha,
Wandering Scholar
FFXIV | Mateus | Roleplayer | Female Xaela
A Xaela Warrior Scholar hailing from the Azim Steppe's Kha tribe, she explores the world seeking knowledge and companionship, choosing her destinations and seeing the sights in search of the experience of a lifetime.
The Scholar's Battle
The title of "Scholar" is in fact just that-- a title. While versed in the healing arts of the scholar, she is far from of the master class-- Tachota is, in fact, what many would call a 'Sage', a healer that uses tools called nouliths for both offensives and healing. It is with these tools that she protects her allies, and herself, from the denizens of the numerous dungeons across Eorzea and beyond. As Tachota's strength grows, so too does her collection of armors and weapons, though to see her wearing anything but her usual outfit is rare-- thanks to the use of glamour prisms, her normal clothing is never far from reach. As for her armory, whether it be milpreves, pendulums, syrinxi, or wings, Tachota has proven herself a skilled healer... Though if she had to name a favorite, Wings are certainly... "Up there" she would say.
Story of the Scholar
A xaela of the Kha tribe, Tachota was born into a world that is shockingly different to that of most Xaela-- for the Kha clan is one of the very small in number tribes that actively seeks contact with the world beyond the Azim Steppe. A blending of cultures, of wares, and of customs has often left the youth among the Kha with dreams of visiting the world beyond the Steppe-- Tachota being one of them.Infatuated with the idea of the world beyond our own, once Tachota became of age, she left the Steppe, and now roams the world in search of the best sights, the most interesting lore, and the best of people, whom she may some day call friends of her own. Of course, the world is large, and not always friendly, and it would be wrong to say her naivete hasn't put her in some less than pleasant spots in the past...

A glossary of those she has met on her travels that left an impression.
- Galtmaah Dotharl

Easily mistaken for a Raen, Galtmaah is an albino Xaela, and a member of the Dotharl tribe. While supposedly difficult to get to know and approach, she was nothing but kind and polite, and seemed to radiate a certain childish glee. I hope to see her again, eventually.
Locations Visited
A simple list of locations visited and thoughts on each.
- Ul'Dah
A gem in the sands, located in the center of the great deserts of Thanalan, north of the Sagolii Desert, Ul'Dah stands proud as a testament to the ability for Eorzeans to endure, and thrive under even the harshest of conditions, not unlike my own people.Ul'Dah is home to many landmarks and places of interest, though the one I've found most active is 'The Quicksand', a tavern that doubles as the city's Adventurers Guild. It's not often that I see any other place in the city as busy, not even the Aetheryte Plaza. It's often populated by two types of people... Those looking to rest, speak with friends, and meet new acquaintances with an empty chair at the table... And those looking to warm their beds for the night. I would normally not write about these things, but it felt worth noting. Something to be cautious about.Ul'Dah is often regarded as the prosperous center of trade in Eorzea, a place where any and all goods will one day pass through. However, to assume it is a paradise of riches would be, unfortunately, wrong. At the time of writing this, Ul'Dah is plagued by poverty and inequality, with a growing divide between the rich and those living day by day on the streets. It's an unfortunate outlook, though rumours have it that the Sultana is planning a multitude of ways to kickstart Ul'Dah's economy and make it the prosperous nation it once was. Only time will tell if these rumours come to life.
- Kugane
Before I start, I'd like to preface that I was GOING to be writing on Limsa Lominsa. Unfortunately, a friend of mine INSISTED I go to Kugane first, and when I refused to charter a voyage, they decided it would be a smart idea to drag me through the Sea of Aether. To the other side of the world. To an Aetheryte I haven't attuned to. Lucky to not be primordial aether now, I suppose, but I was bed bound with Aether Sickness for a week. I can't say the journey wasn't ultimately worth it, though.A beautiful far eastern city, the trading hub of the world, and one of the few truly neutral kingdoms on Hydaelyn, Kugane is the only open port on the entirety of Hingashi, an extremely reserved country that bars Foreigners from their ports, with Kugane being the sole exception to that law. It is a beautiful city, with a rich culture, and an extremely comfortable vibe, where most of its citizens are extremely friendly people, though perhaps if not simply for the sake business.
- The Hostelry
The Hostelry is one of the two things that will first come to your attention in the city. Looming tall over most of the city, it is one of the first buildings you'll pass by-- or through. It is similiar to the Quicksand from Ul'Dah, in that it serves as both a tavern, and often, a place of business for those inclined. It also seems to be a popular... Climbing location? I saw a number of people attempting to climb... And falling... Repeatedly. They must've been equipped with some powerful protection magicks. I decided not to join them.
- Kugane Castle
Kugane Castle is the second thing you will see, looming high over the rear end of the city. I would love to write more on it, but unfortunately, as Hingashi is wont to be, entrance is barred to... Well, most everyone, really, and attempting to learn anything about goings on inside will get you a very sharp glare from the Sekiseigumi...
